It's now possible to add images to your sparks. This is a great way to add some extra content and capture those nuggets of wisdom. Add a diagram, a photo or even a sketch or handwritten notes.

It's easy to add an image so here's how it works...

Add an image to a new spark

  • Jump over to the 'Add a new spark' page in the web app

  • Add your spark note and the source of your inspiration as normal

  • Then just drag in an image from your computer or tap the blue box to browse and find one

  • Save the spark as normal

Right now we support standard image formats (JPEG, GIF or PNG). We'll look into other types later.

Add an image to an existing spark

You may have some sparks that you want to update with an image. That's easy too.

  • Find the right spark

  • Tap the button to edit the spark

  • Drag in or browse for an image just like above

  • Save it!

Viewing images in sparks

Right now you can only see the images when you view a spark. On the main sparks list you will get a small icon to show which sparks have images.

What's next?

This is only the first stage for us. Here are a few things we want to add next:

  • Replace or remove an image from a spark

  • Zoom into an image to see its full size

  • Support other file types - maybe PDF or even video

Why not send us a message using the chat below and let us know what you think we should add next!
